D’ANGEL… pleased with my career—–NEVER one to shy from the spotlight, singer D’Angel says she has a new focus which can be heard on her latest singles, Come Get It and Ramp Ruff.
In the music video for Come Get It, a sensual D’Angel (Michelle Downer) pairs with model Leon Carpenter whose stocks rose after making a guest appearance on the popular television show, America’s Next Top Model.
“I promise to bring out the sexier side of me without overdoing it. I am much stronger than I was before and I have broken free from all the negativity,” she said. “This is highlighted in my music.”
The video for Come Get It was directed by Waynee Lexx and the song produced by UIM Records.
Ramp Ruff is produced by Adrian Locke of Truckback Records.
D’Angel has a reputation for raunchy behaviour, as witnessed at Sting 2013 when she wore a skimpy outfit on stage. She has also clashed with other female artists, spats that often made tabloid headlines.
She says those days are over.
“I am really pleased with my career as my music is spreading and my fan base is growing and that means a lot to me. I feel more comfortable singing as when I do I tend to raise a lot of eyebrows,” she said.
D’Angel has a lead role in the movie, Jamaican Maffia, in which she plays the character Robin. The low-budget drama is expected to open later this year.
