Holness says PNP desperate

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Andrew Holness has described the ruling People’s National Party (PNP) as a desperate political organisation.

Speaking at a JLP rally in Stony Hill supporting its candidate for West Rural St Andrew, Juliet Cuthbert Flynn, a few hours after responding to the PNP’s claim of skullduggery in acquiring his Beverly Hills home, Holness said that the ruling party was residing at the “bottom of the barrel”.

According to the Opposition Leader: “The PNP is a desperate political organisation. They reside at the bottom of the barrel, and they are trying to pull down the people of Jamaica with them. But we are up, up, up; way up and we are going to stay up.

“All of this smokescreen that you hear the PNP going on with, trying to accuse me, trying to sully the name of my wife’s family, saying all kinds of nasty things, descending into the gutter, it just shows the hyprocrisy of the PNP who talks about a higher level of politics.

“They are the main practitioners of gutter politics in this country, and it is time that the people of Jamaica rise up and reject gutter politics in the country,” he said.

Cuthbert Flynn is a former Jamaican Olympic track star and a fitness guru.
