Robbers dressed as security guards hit HWT jewellery store 

In a brazen daylight robbery on Wednesday, men dressed as security guards hit a jewellery store in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew. stealing from customers and staff.

In fact, the robbers also managed to disarm the security guard for the store, reportedly taking the gun as part of their loot.

Reports reaching Loop News are that just after 10 am, men dressed as security guards entered Pavilion Jewellers in Springs Plaza and proceeded to rob those inside of cell phones and jewellery.

The men also reportedly assaulted the store’s security guard, relieving him of his firearm in the process.

They then hurriedly left the store in the usually busy commercial area. The men reportedly hijacked two motor vehicles in their bid to escape.

There is no word yet on the value of the items stolen during the robbery. The store has been closed.
