A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the reported buggery of a four-year-old child.
The child is the man’s relative.
The accused was arrested and charged with buggery following an incident in St Elizabeth on July 22.
In response to this distressing incident, the police have ensured that appropriate measures are in place.
“The well-being of the affected child remains a top priority, as counselling has been arranged to provide support and assistance during this difficult time,” said acting Superintendent of Police Coleridge Minto.
The Community Safety and Security officers have also extended their services to offer additional support to the affected community.
The accused perpetrator is scheduled to appear in the Santa Cruz Parish Court on August 23, 2023.
