Three shot, two fatally, in Western Kingston

Detectives from the Kingston Western Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding the murder of a man and a woman on Chestnut Lane in the Kingston 14 area on Sunday, September 20.

Another man was also injured in the incident.

The deceased are 35-year-old electrician, Godwin Morris, otherwise called ‘Iwayne’, and 27-year-old Nicola Pink, otherwise called ‘Trudy’, both of Chestnut Lane.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 3:26 am, Morris was inside his house when he heard explosions and went to investigate and was shot several times.

Residents called the police, who subsequently discovered that three persons had been shot.

All three injured persons were taken to hospital, where Morris and Pink were pronounced dead and the other person was treated and released.
