Triple murder in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew

There was a triple murder in the Olympic Gardens community in St Andrew on Sunday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Mischak Smith, otherwise called ‘Niney’, a 26-year-old unemployed male of Bay Farm Road, Kingston 20; Chrismar Hydol, otherwise called ‘Loco’, a 31-year-old bookkeeper of Simmond Park, Kingston 20; and David Archer, a 36-year-old higgler of a Simmond Park address.

A fourth gunshot victim has reportedly been hospitalised in stable condition.

Reports are that on Sunday at about 9am, the four men were among a group of people at Simmond Park in the vicinity of the roadway, when a Honda motorcar was driven up, from which two armed men alighted and immediately opened fire at the crowd.

In the resulting melee, the persons under attack fled in different directions and the gunmen returned to the waiting motorcar and escaped from the scene.

After the shooting subsided, Smith and Hydol were discovered dead, while Archer and the fourth victim were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to a hospital, where Archer succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, and the other man was admitted in a stable condition.
