UPDATE: Four passengers get medical evaluation after Jet Blue emergency landing in Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jet Blue in a statement on its website a short while ago said that four passengers have been taken to a medical facility in Kingston for evaluation after an emergency landing at the Kingston international airport Monday evening.

The statement said that JetBlue flight 876 from Norman Manley International Airport to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport returned to Kingston after a report of a smoke odour.

JetBlue added that it will ensure all customer needs are met.

Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that the aircraft took off sometime after 7:00 pm and returned to the NMIA approximately 15 minutes into the flight.
