12 people injured as buses collide on Spanish Town Road

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Twelve people were rushed to hospital Thursday morning following a motor vehicle crash along Spanish Town Road in St Andrew.

Police report that two Toyota Coaster buses were travelling towards the Portia Simpson Miller Square (Three Miles) when a driver of one of the buses involved in the collision attempted to overtake the other but instead crashed into the rear of the vehicle.

“Approximately twelve people were injured in the crash,” said Patrick Murdock of the police traffic department.

The extent of their injuries is unconfirmed at this time.
