WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Six-year-old Howayne Lewis died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle collision on the Frome main road in Westmoreland on Monday, April 7.
Information received from the Frome Police is that about 3:30 pm a tractor was pulling four cane carts along the roadway when Howayne was hit by one of the carts, which then ran over him. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the tractor was taken into custody.
