64-y-o ‘cabbie’ reportedly shoots passenger during argument in St Mary 

Sixty-four-year-old Lloyd McKoy otherwise called ‘Jimmy’, taxi operator of Ferguson Lane, Port Maria, St. Mary was charged regarding an incident at Quebec, St Mary on Thursday, June 01.

He is charged with wounding with Intent, unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Reports are that about 11:05 am, Mckoy and a passenger had a disagreement, when Mckoy pulled a firearm and pointed it at the passenger’s head. A tussle ensued, during which the passenger used a knife to stab McKoy and ran from the vehicle.

Mckoy reportedly fired at the man hitting him in his lower back. The police were summoned and on arrival, the injured men were assisted to the hospital, where they were treated.

McKoy was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 5. He is set to appear in the Port Maria Parish Court on Thursday, July 13.
