KINGSTON, Jamaica – A new book highlighting the work of local manufacturers will officially be launched at the Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM), University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, on Monday, March 30 at 6:00 pm.

Written by Professor Densil Williams, executive director of MSBM and professor of International Business, the book was motivated by an initiative spearheaded by National Continental Corporation Limited, to highlight the works of committed and diligent new entrepreneurs in Jamaica’s manufacturing sector.

Part of an initiative titled The Bold Ones: New Champions of Manufacturing, the book is titled, “Competing Against Multinationals in Emerging Markets”. It showcases the work of new entrepreneurs engaged in the production of goods for domestic and export consumption.

It makes a modest contribution to understanding the factors that generally drive business success in small firms, and shares the experiences and provide insights into the processes and changes that have led to their current state.
