A Senior Director of Car Max Limited is in police custody facing fraud charges involving more than J$40 millionDarren Blake was taken into custody after surrendering to the Fraud Squad on Wednesday in the company of his attorney, Raymond Clough.
Investigators say Blake, who is before the court on other fraud charges, will face additional charges .
It’s alleged that between November last year and this month, Blake failed to pay over millions of dollars to car owners who used hiscompany to sell their vehicles.
More than 22 complaints have been filed with the fraud squad.
The police are urging persons who have conducted business with Car Max to contact the Fraud Squad at 948-5906 or 948-5983.
