ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Member of Parliament for Kingston Western Desmond McKenzie says, while he is not defending criminals, the People’s National Party (PNP) and the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) both have criminals.

He called on the PNP to coordinate efforts with the JLP to wrestle and rid the country of crime, once and for all.

McKenzie was speaking at a JLP meeting on Tuesday at the Mountain View Primary School in St Andrew.

“Dudus is not the only man to break the law,” McKenzie insisted.

He attributed lottery scamming, which he said is wreaking havoc on the country, to the now deceased PNP activist Kenley ‘Bebe’ Stevens.

Meanwhile, the JLP member of Parliament said he was hurt by recent statements made by senior PNP officials who consistently say crime increases under the JLP. He rubbished their claims, insisting that they are not true.
