Four high powered weapons and several sticks of explosives were seized by members of the security forces operating in the State of Public Emergency in Western Kingston on Thursday.
Three persons have been arrested in connection with the find.
Reports are that about 3:05 p.m., a joint police/military team went to an area known as ‘Bumps in Tivoli Gardens and during a search two AR 15 rifles, one AK 47 and one Winchester rifle were found.
In addition to that fifty-four 5.56 rounds of ammunition four.38 rounds of ammunition, eleven sticks of explosives, several gun parts and six empty magazines were also found.
Three persons were arrested in connection with the seizures. However, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
