JLP supporters fill Sam Sharpe Square

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Hundreds of Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporters are now streaming into the historic Sam Sharpe Square in this resort city ahead of the official launch of the party’s general election campaign.

Party Leader Andrew Holness, as well as Opposition spokesman on finance Audley Shaw and General Secretary Dr Horace Chang are among the raft of speakers scheduled to address the huge gathering later tonight.

During his address, Holness is expected to give further details on his recently announced 10 point plan, that he says will spur economic growth.
