Students at the Boys’ Town Infant and Primary School had a fun-filled day last Friday, courtesy of the C B Facey Foundation — the philanthropic arm of PanJam Investment Limited (PanJam).
Assisted by staff volunteers from PanJam, the school’s grounds was filled with high spirits as the children enjoyed bounce-abouts, body designs by Eon and Robby’s FreeSpiritz Jamaica, art and craft designing, dancing competitions, snacks and treats, and a host of other entertaining activities.
“The foundation is involved with numerous projects and charities and our annual Christmas treat at Boys’ Town is a calendar event that we really anticipate. We are in the season of giving and spreading joy, and the smiles on the children’s faces tells us that we are doing something meaningful,” said Anna Ward, executive director of the C B Facey Foundation. “We are committed to continuing our outreach with the community which serves as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility framework.”
Trevor Spence, CEO for Boys’ Town Community Intervention Programme and vice-chairman of the school’s board, lauds the foundation for their philanthropic efforts in the community.
“It is a fantastic feeling to know that the C B Foundation has invested in the Boys’ Town community. The entire Facey family is involved in the outreach activities, and it shows how committed they are to Boys’ Town. The annual Christmas treat at the school is just one initiative that the foundation has undertaken.”
Ward was also happy for the support received from Tru-Juice, which provided drinks at the treat.
“Tru-Juice has been sponsoring the Christmas treat for two years; this year they provided drinks for the children and, as usual, we are delighted to have them support our Christmas treat.”
