A teenager who is pregnant was reportedly raped by a group of gunmen who went on a robbery spree in the Beecher Town community in St Ann on Friday evening.
The rape victim is reportedly an 18-year-old.
She was taken to hospital for treatment after her ordeal.
A number of residents of the community were robbed of possessions, including cash, by the gunmen.
Reports indicated that the intruders entered the normally quiet farming community some time after 7:00 pm in two motorcars.
There were reports that gunshots were fired before the men left the community.
Reports were that efforts were made to summon the police during the presence of the gunmen in the community, but there were challenges in accessing the police through the emergency 119 number, and the callers did not readily know the number for the Ocho Rios Police Station.
