Residents continue protests against transfer of SSP McGregor

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Police have again been called to Spanish Town Road where ‎angry residents are back in the streets.

“We not going stop protest until the police boss them change them mind from sending Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor to St James,” said one of the placard-bearing residents.

The resident was part of a group of men, women and children who have blocked sections of Spanish Town Road in the vicinity of Tivoli Gardens, demanding that their voices be heard.

The protest follows similar action ‎on Monday where residents first made the call for their concern to be addressed.

A police team is now in the area trying to clear the blockades.
