Rising Tension In Western Kingston Worries The Police 

The police have expressed concern about rising tension among criminal gangs in Western Kingston.

In recent weeks the gangs have engaged in deadly gun battles over turf.

Two men were shot on Saturday along Chestnut Lane. This has sparked tension in the area.

Inspector Paul Campbell, acting Crime Chief  for the Division,  has confirmed that criminal factions are battling for turf.

This prompted the cops to release the names of  five men as Persons of  Interest. They were given until five o’clock on Thursday afternoon to turn themselves in to the Denham Town Police.

This list includes Andrew Coke, otherwise called Livity, brother of convicted drug kingpin, Christopher Dudus Coke.

The other persons are Devon Saunders, otherwise called Cutty, of  Nelson Street, Denham Town, Steve Allen, also known as Frenchie of  Charles Street, Kingston 14, Taja Freeman, otherwise called Weng, of  Bread Lane, Denham Town, and Shamar Guthrie of  Chestnut Lane, Denham Town.

According to Inspector Campbell, none of the men have come forward.
