St James police station firebombed

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Quick action by police officers at the Amity Hall Police Station in St James resulted in minimal damage to the building and a service vehicle, following a firebombing in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that around 1:20 am during a power outage in the area, two molotov cocktail bombs were thrown on the verandah of the building which houses the police station and into the back of a parked service unit on the compound.

Preliminary reports are that the damage was contained because of quick action by the lawmen.
