KINGSTON, Jamaica — Workers at the NCB Towers on Oxford Road on Kingston where a fire broke out Wednesday morning have been sent home.
Apart from the National Commercial Bank (NCB), the twin towers hold numerous offices including those of the Ministry of National Security and the Tax Administration of Jamaica (TAJ).
Information is that Wednesday’s fire started on the ninth floor of the south tower in the TAJ office.
The north tower was also evacuated as a precautionary measure as fire fighters tackled the south tower blaze.
