KINGSTON, Jamaica – Regular and social media in Brazil are reporting that a Brazilian woman placed a bet that Germany would defeat Brazil by seven goals to one, the actual score in the semi-final match yesterday between the two countries.
The bet according to social media was placed at the woman’s office as part of a daily pool of betting since the World Cup started on June 12.
According to media reports, the woman placed the highly unfavourable bet against her beloved Brazil because her husband who is a sleep walker mentioned the score on one of his walks.
