Cops hunting escapee from MoBay’s Barnett Street Police Station

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a prisoner who escaped from the Montego Bay Police lock-up in St James on Saturday, September 13.

Twenty-one-year-old Fahdean Ferguson, otherwise called ‘Tussain’ or ‘Joshua’, a mechanic of Hampton, Spring Mount, in the parish had been in custody since May 25, 2014, the police say.

Ferguson is of dark complexion, medium build, is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and has teardrops tattooed below his right eye and scars over both eyes.

According to police information Ferguson, who was on charges for house breaking and burglary, was transported from the Barnett Street Police Station about 8:45 pm to participate in a video identification parade. He was waiting in the holding area, to be transported back to that facility when he allegedly escaped through an unlocked window. He was last seen wearing a white merino and a pair of pink shorts.

Anyone knowing Ferguson’s whereabouts is being asked to contact the Montego Bay Police at 953-6191 or 684-9080-5, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile the police is reminded the public that harbouring fugitives is a crime and “anyone found guilty of such an act will face the full extent of the law”.
