A man who allegedly carried out a shooting attack on the home of his former girlfriend on Wednesday morning, leaving a man dead and his three year old son seriously injured, is in custody facing charges.
The dead man has been identified as Maboukie Johnson, a resident of Rodney Street, Jones Town, St Andrew.
It’s reported that shortly after one o’clock, Johnson was at home with his girlfriend when two gunmen kicked off the door.The gunmen sprayed bullets in the room, hitting Johnson several times.
A three year old boy who was in the room was shot in his legs and is admitted in serious condition.The woman escaped unharmed.
Two hours later, investigators from the Denham Town Police Station arrested the woman’s former common-law husband in connection with the shooting.Investigators say the injured boy is his son.
A senior detective told RJR News that jealousy triggered the shooting.
