Mother And Daughter Held With Cocaine At Airport 

A Canadian woman and her daughter were arrested and charged on Tuesday with breaches of  the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Joyce Sutton,68 and Sharon Howard, 47, public support workers of  Toronto were arrested after trying to leave the island with cocaine.

Police at the Norman Manley International Airport say about 1:30pm Sutton and Howard checked in to board a flight to Canada.

During a security check,  Howard was searched and four parcels containing cocaine weighing two pounds allegedly found.

An interview was conducted with both women, after which Sutton was searched and two parcels containing cocaine weighing one pound were reportedly seized.

Both women are scheduled to appear before the Half  Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on January 15.
